After being eliminated from Dancing with the Stars, Maia Dunphy is back on our screens with a brand new series, which focuses on break-ups.
The new show, which starts on TV3 this Wednesday – conveniently Valentine’s Day – sees Maia Dunphy take four broken hearted singletons to the middle of the countryside, in a bid to help them overcome their grief.
With the breaking up of a serious relationship said to be the second most traumatic life experience after the death of a loved one, Maia has her work cut out for her.
Joined by ‘The Divorce Coach’ Sara Davison, Maia will comfort the participants and offer a shoulder to cry on while they stay at Ireland’s only divorce and break-up retreat.
The series also includes gay participants, as 26-year-old Gordon from Thurles struggles to move on after he and his boyfriend took a break, before his boyfriend decided to end things completely.
Heartbreak Hotel airs this Wednesday (February 14) from 9pm on TV3.
