Last nights Dancing On Ice left people asking questions, but not about the performances or contestants…

Viewers who tuned in to watch the ITV skating competition last night (February 11) were confused as presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield used handheld microphones.

Usually the presenters and judges would wear a personal mic, which would be clipped to their clothes and disguised for the show.

However, due to the severe wind yesterday at the studio, bosses made the decision to drop the personal mics in the hope of hiding the noise the roof was making.

Schofield, 55, explained to one confused viewer on Twitter, saying: “The wind was so noisy we thought we’d lose the roof! Stick mics hid it better than the personal mics we usually use.”

Last nights show seen Lemar eliminated from the competition, as the judges voted to save Donna Air.

Dancing On Ice continues next Sunday night on ITV.
