Survival of the Fittest launches tonight, as the contestants and presenter Laura Whitmore arrive in sunny South Africa.
The show, set in the South African savannah, pits boys and girls against each other, as they go head-to-head in physical and emotional challenges.
They’ll be staying in The Lodge, which is only accessible via a bridge – which the contestants will cross to enter, and then cross again to leave the competition.
It took 9 weeks to build, with 3 lightning conductors on the roof to protect the building and contestants from South African storms.
Complete with a gym, a boys and girls dorm, a treehouse, a luxurious bathroom and state of the art kitchen, the contestants will feel at ease – while being watched by 69 cameras.
The contestants will have to wear watches throughout their stay, which alert them to brand new challenges. They operate on a secure closed network, so they’ll have no communication with the outside world.
Survival of the Fittest starts tonight from 9pm on ITV2 and 3e in Ireland.
