Yesterdays Christmas TV guide was jam-packed with specials of all your favourite shows – including the soaps – but how well did they do?
It’s a given that after our Christmas dinner we sit ourselves down in front of the television and stick a bit of EastEnders or Strictly on.
But how well did your favourite shows do last night, and who came out on top?
Last nights EastEnders pulled in an impressive 6.3 million viewers as Abi and Lauren fell off the Queen Vic roof. It beat Emmerdale, which attracted 3.7 million and Coronation Street with 5.1 million.
The Queen’s Speech, which paid tribute to the lives lost in this years terrorist attacks and the Grenfell Tower blaze attracted 5.9 million.
Mrs Brown’s Boys came out on top last night, bringing in 6.8 million as the nation watched on to see the brand new Rory. It beat Doctor Who (5.6m), Strictly (6.5m) and Bake Off (3.1m).
Although Bake Off pulled in just 3.1 million – compared to Mrs Brown’s Boys’ 6.8 million – it still made it Channel 4’s biggest Christmas day audience since modern records began in 2002.
