Coronation Street has revealed Fiz’s exit storyline, as the woman who plays her finished in fourth place on I’m A Celebrity last night.
Jennie McApline – the woman behind Fiz – took a break from the cobbles to appear on this years I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The 33-year-old finished in fourth place over the weekend, and viewers will now get to see her character briefly exit on screen as a result.
With Corrie filming scenes so far in advance, Fiz will only be departing Weatherfield next week – when she hears that her mum has taken ill after a fall.
The upcoming scenes will see Fiz make the heartbreaking decision to leave her husband and two children for Christmas, so she can care for her mum before she’s back on her feet.
However, Fiz is surprised by her family when they decide to have an early Christmas dinner to make up for her being away on the big day.
To top it off, Ruby and Hope sing ‘Little Donkey’ which leads to a touching family moment that Fiz cherishes.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, December 18 from 7:30pm on ITV.
