Tonight, it was crunch time for the five remaining couples in Strictly Come Dancing. After twelve weeks of intense dance schedules, it all came down to this – five were about to become four.
The show began with a Lindy Hop-themed dance from the professionals, before Tess revealed the first couple in the dance-off.
Despite giving their two dances their all last night, Gemma and Aljaž found themselves in danger. They opted to perform their Tango for a second time, but would it be enough to see them through to the final?
Then, there was music from Craig David and Bastille, who performed their single ‘I Know You’, before the judges gave us the lowdown on the semi-final dances.
Then, after a nervous wait, Mollie and AJ were told that they would also be facing the dance-off. They opted to perform their Waltz for a second time, in the hope of saving themselves from elimination.
After both couples had danced again, they had done all they could to impress the judges. In the end, they saved Gemma and Aljaž, meaning that it was Mollie and AJ who sadly missed out on a place in next week’s final.
Mollie and AJ will join Zoe on tomorrow’s ‘It Takes Two’ at 6:30pm on BBC Two.
Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday at 6:30pm on BBC One for The Final.
