Emmerdale actress Charley Webb has defended her brother Jamie Lomas after claims he has been bullying Iain Lee on I’m A Celebrity.
Ex-Hollyoaks actor Jamie has been accused by viewers of ‘bullying’ radio and TV presenter Iain Lee during his stay in camp, along with eliminated contestant Dennis Wise.
It’s also reported that TV regulator Ofcom has received more than 100 complaints from members of the public because of Jamie and Dennis’ alleged behaviour on the show.
Speaking out to defend her brother, Charley has revealed that her family has received “abuse” because of the allegations, but maintains he has not been a bully.
The Emmerdale star tweeted: “Bullying is such a strong word and I haven’t seen Jamie bullying at all,” she wrote. “He did say Iain is playing a game, that’s an opinion. The abuse we’re receiving as a family is bullying.”
ITV have also been forced to speak out, and the channel has denied that any behaviour that could be seen as bullying has taken place.
They said: “The welfare of all our celebrities is of utmost importance and we’ve not witnessed nor had any complaints of bullying from any of them.”
I’m A Celebrity continues on ITV.
