The X Factor may be set for one of its biggest shakeups ever, as music mogul Simon Cowell hints that FIVE judges could be on the next series.
The ITV singing competition may have just ended over the weekend, with boyband Rak-Su being crowned this years winners, but Simon Cowell is already working on next years show.
Simon, 58, has teased us about next year, while confirming that rumours of Cheryl being in talks to return are indeed true, but obviously that nothing has been signed yet.
Although admitting that he likes the current panel consisting of Nicole, Sharon and Louis, Simon said he would like to see Cheryl back in a judge’s seat.
Speaking to The Sun, Simon revealed: “Nothing’s a done deal and I do like this panel. But the good news is that now more people want to do the show than before. Is Cheryl keen to come back? She is, yes — I guess she is.”
Continuing, Simon admitted that he’s had to beg people in the past to be a judge, but hasn’t had to do it recently because the show is more ‘fun’.
Will there be five judges next year? Will Cheryl be back again? So many questions, but we’ll have to wait until next for the answers.
X Factor returns to ITV next Autumn.
