The TV and radio presenter has decided to take part in this years series in order to pay for his very ill mums care home fees.
The Sun reports that mum Linda, 66, has severe MS and her fees are costing Iain £1,500 a week and it has been eating through his life savings.
A close source told the tabloid: “His mum’s care home costs are a great concern for Iain. He’ll be able to use a proportion of his jungle fee to stabilise the situation.
“He’s made no secret of the fact he can’t wait to get home to his boys but knowing the money will be a huge help to his mum is stopping him from walking out.”
Since arriving in the jungle Iain has attempted to conquer some of his fears including water and heights, while also bringing up mental health and openly discussing it.
