The X Factor has today announced that TV presenter and radio DJ Becca Dudley will be joining the family as the brand new online presenter and face for The X Factor social platforms as well as host of Just Eat’s Xtra Bites.
The brand new online series will replace spin off show Xtra Factor, which was presented by Rylan and Matt last year before it was announced that it would not be returning for this year.
Becca has been hosting MTV UK programming since 2012 and presents multiple shows across the network including her own series, MTV Live Stage as well as covering worldwide music events with World Stage from Brazil to Belgium.
She has presented for ITV2’s The Hot Desk and LiveXLive’s Rock In Rio. In addition to her TV work, Becca DJs reggae, hip hop and dancehall across venues in the UK and festivals including Glastonbury. She is also a presenter for Apple Music’s Beats 1 and in 2016 she launched her own music platform DEADLY which encompasses live music, radio and video content.
Speaking about joining the show, Becca said: “I’m so excited to be joining The X Factor this year and I can’t wait to get stuck in! I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing and meeting contestants from previous series so I’m looking forward to getting to know and working with the class of 2017. I’m super gassed.”
Karen Troop, Executive Producer, The X Factor Digital, said, “We’re really excited that Becca is joining us as the online face of The X Factor; her experience in the music industry, from DJing to presenting and interviewing some of the biggest popstars and artists, makes her the perfect addition to the team. Becca will be on hand to guide fans through all the behind-the-scenes fun and games as she gets to know this year’s contestants. We can’t wait to see her in action!”
The X Factor continues this weekend on ITV.
