Tonight it was the second round of the Live Knockouts on The Voice UK and it was the turn of Team Tom.
First to take to the stage was Nadine Mcghee who sang ‘Secret Love Song’. After pulling off stunning vocals, all of the judges praised Nadine for the emotion she put in to her performance – but would it be enough to see her through to the quarter-finals?
Next up was Craig Ward from Glasgow, who performed ‘Hold On Tight’. The judges were impressed by his efforts and his relatable song choice. Would he ‘hold on’ to his place on Team Tom?
Victoria Kerley, who Tom stole from Will last week, was the third contestant to perform. She sang ‘Find Me’ and pulled off an assured performance, impressing all of the judges.
Capital B, one of Tom’s duos were up next. Despite a lack of rehearsal time, it didn’t show in their performance of ‘One Day I’ll Fly Away’. They impressed the judges, but did they impress the public enough to make it through?
Dannii Barnes was the penultimate act to perform. Her nerves may have got the better of her in places, during her performance of ‘False Alarm’, but no one could doubt her enthusiasm.
Into The Ark were the last act to take to the stage and they impressed with their version of ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’. The judges all agreed that they were fans of the duo and Tom said they were in a unique position.
Before the results were announced, Jennifer Hudson treated us to a world exclusive performance of her new single ‘Remember Me’.
Then, it was crunch time! After a nerve-wracking wait it was revealed that Craig Ward and Into The Ark had made it safely through to the quarter-finals.
After some tough deliberation, Tom opted to save Nadine – meaning that it was the end of the road for Victoria, Capital B and Dannii.
The Voice UK returns next Saturday at 8:30pm on ITV1.
