Well we have made it to the knockout stages of the singing competition and it’s getting tougher week in, week out. Tonight we saw contestants battle it out for a place in the live finals of the competition. But who triumphed and who went home? Kicking off the knockout rounds was Team Jennifer and her team members had to choose a song that they think will give them the best chance of making it through to the live finals but with only 90 seconds to give it all that they have got it was surely going to be a tough challenge as the coaches had to whittle it down to just 3 acts.
Kicking off the Knockouts stage of the competition was team Jennifer and up first was David Jackson with his version of ‘Little Respect’ by Erasure. It was an amazing performance and he really got the crowd going. Jennifer said that it was a great job and that she was so proud of him. Gavin said that his voice was pure and he delivered 100%. Will, said that some parts were wobbly but he did a good job. Tom said that it was a tough song to sing and that David nailed it tonight.
Next was Jack Bruley who opted to sing ‘To Love Somebody’ by the Bee Gees. Will said that he smashed it in rehearsal and that he smashed it tonight, Jennifer said that he got a little bit pitchy and that he did a pretty good job
Next on the stage was Tim Gallagher who sang ‘Want You To Want Me’ by Jason Derulo. What an amazing version it was. Gavin said that he loved it, and that his range is fantastic. Will said that he was on fire and that he loved it. Jennifer said that he brought it home, and that he made the song his own.
Georgie Braggins was next with her version of ‘Say A Little Prayer’ by Aretha Franklin. Tom said that he loved her version to the song and that she took a risk with it. Jennifer said that she did the song justice. But did she make it through?
Up next was Mo, with his version of Beyoncé’s ‘Freedom’. It was certainly an energetic performance that got the crowd going as they absolutely loved it. Gavin said that he was unbelievable and that he is sensational. Will said that he comes with an abundance of energy and confidence. But the question is did he make it through to the live finals?
The final act for team Jennifer was Jamie Miller with his version of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’. Could he make it through to the live finals? Tom said that he thinks he is going to become a superstar because he has got the whole package. He loved the way he sounded and the way he looked. Will said that he set the stage on fire. Jennifer said that she was proud of him and that he is already a superstar.
So all of Jennifer’s act had performed and the voting lines opened and it was time for the public to vote for their favourites. But while the public voted for their favourite acts, we were treated to a special performance from Sir Tom Jones as he sang his song ‘Leave Your Hat On’.
But it was crunch time for Jennifer as she patiently waited to see which 3 of her acts had been voted through to the live finals. After a long agonising wait, it was time for the result.
The first act through was Jamie Miller, the second act through was Mo and then it was time for Jennifer to choose her final act, but who did she choose? After some long deliberation she opted to go with Jack Bruley, which seemed a shock decision.
So there you have it, Jennifer has her final 3 acts that have made it to the live finals next week.
