Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has spoken about Danny Dyer’s break from BBC One soap EastEnders, showing support for the ‘exhausted’ actor.
Danny, 39, has taken a break from EastEnders and flown out of the country for a rest, following reports the actor has been left ‘exhausted’ from the soap.
Although tabloids have been reporting that Danny was forced to take time off because of his bad behaviour on set, EastEnders bosses have rubbished those claims, saying: “Danny is an extremely popular member of cast and respected by everyone on the show.”
Showing support for her fellow soap star, Kym Marsh has said that there is a lot of stress working on a soap and hopes Danny gets back to EastEnders soon.
She said: “There can be a lot of stress working on a soap, so I understand. It vexes me when the odd troll has said I haven’t got a “real job”. Some people think we come into work, have our make-up done and muck around, but it’s not like that – we all work really hard.
“I know Danny’s hugely popular, so I hope he gets back to work soon – EastEnders fans will really miss him.”
