Celebrity Big Brother housemate Grant Bovey has opened up about his bankruptcy and split from ex-wife Anthea Turner amid taking part in the Channel 5 reality show.
After being hit badly by the property crash in 2008, Grant owned a staggering £60million in debt and revealed it left him on his knees when he was declared bankrupt in 2010.
Speaking to the Mirror, Grant said: “I went personally bankrupt and I was on my knees. I was publicly humiliated. I felt like ending it all, absolutely.”
Meanwhile, he left now ex-wife Anthea for 27-year-old Zoe De Mallet Morgan but strongly regrets his actions and says that she “didn’t deserve it”.
He said: “You probably think I’m a love rat, I’ve made a lot of mistakes. If I could turn back the clock and change things, I would.”
Anthea kicked Grant out of their £6million mansion when news of his affair with Zoe broke, but he regrets putting her through all of it.
“She didn’t deserve what happened to her. She has had to put up with a huge amount and she doesn’t deserve it,” he told the Mirror.
