Former Brookside star Liam Lopez is making a comeback to the soap world as a guest on Albert Square.
The actor will appear in a handful of episodes later this year, taking on the role of Linford, one of Claudette’s Hubbard’s foster sons.
Liam has already started filming with the BBC show and his first scenes will be hitting our TV screens in the next few weeks.
As well as schemer Claudette, Linford will be sharing scenes with his foster siblings Vincent Hubbard (played by Richard Blackwood) and Donna Yates (played by Lisa Hammond)
Speaking about his role, Liam said: “I’m so excited to be working on EastEnders and still can’t believe it! It really is a dream come true.”
An EastEnders insider explained, “Leon is only in a few episodes of EastEnders and it’s quite a small part, but everyone is really excited to have him on set.”
If any of you don’t know Liam, he has appeared in Brookside and he played Jerome Johnson between 1999 and 2002. He was a contestant on ITV singing show ‘Soapstar Superstar’ in 2007 and he has appeared in various theatre productions.
He has also gone behind the camera as he helped to write and direct a feature film called ‘Soft Lad’ which stars EastEnders actor Jonny Labey (played by Paul Coker) and Coronation Street’s Daniel Brocklebank (played by Billy Mayhew).
