I’m A Celebrity: Ofcom receive over 1,000 complaints after Ferne McCann eats live spider

Ofcom has revealed that it’s dealing with nearly 1,200 complaints from angry viewers after Ferne McCann ate a live spider during the final Bushtucker Trial on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 

The regulatory body has said it will “assess these complaints before deciding whether to investigate or not”.

Meanwhile, an ITV spokesman said: ”I’m a Celebrity complies with all regional and national laws concerning the use of insects in the eating trials, which have become a well-established part of the show over the past 15 years.”

It seems Ferne eating a live spider on TV wasn’t good enough as viewers voted her in third place while Vicky Pattinson won in last nights final.
